BROWNSBURG HOSTS ANNUAL REV RALLY MOTORSPORTS FANFEST
BROWNSBURG – Brownsburg area race fans are invited to celebrate the Town’s rich motorsports heritage at the fourth annual Rev Rally fanfest. The family-friendly event is set for 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 on the Brownsburg Town Hall Green.
The event, co-hosted by Lucas Oil Raceway, will feature games, entertainment and concessions. The kids’ zone will have an inflatables playground and exhibitors will provide activities. Race cars from NMCA Pro Mod muscle cars to NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters will be on show, and fans can meet some of the drivers who race at the historic facility. More than 20 locally-owned hot rods will be part of a car show organized by Sebastian Automotive & Performance.
Popular jam rock band 800 lb. Gorilla will perform. Known across central Indiana, the five-piece 800 lb. Gorilla’s style has a rock and roll core and pulls together funk and jazz influences to create driving, catchy, danceable grooves. Fans are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the concert.
Lucas Oil Raceway is Brownsburg’s biggest visitor destination hosting the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals, the world’s most prestigious drag race, along with a variety of events on its quarter-mile dragstrip and 0.686-mile oval track.
“Brownsburg is a racing town,” Brownsburg Town Manager Grant Kleinhenz said. “Rev Rally celebrates that and helps bring awareness to Lucas Oil Raceway, our local track, and the events held on both its oval and drag strip."
Lucas Oil Raceway Sales and Marketing Manager Dustin Rumple added, “The Town of Brownsburg and its residents have been so supportive of the racing industry, especially the NHRA, and events like Rev Rally let us connect with local fans and residents in a truly fun way.”
Exhibit spaces are available to local for organizations and businesses that have an interactive display for race fans attending Rev Rally. Spaces are 10 x 10’ and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The application is on the Town of Brownsburg website, www.brownsburg.org. Deadline to apply is June 14. There is no fee for exhibit space.
