Lucas Oil Raceway is excited to showcase a diverse set of events on the oval in 2021, emphasizing a revival in pavement open-wheel racing with events featuring USAC Silver Crown, Brown’s Oil Champion Midgets, and Sprint Cars throughout the season.
With each event in 2021, fans can enjoy free camping for the event – including camping through the weekend for the Carb Night Classic and Hoosier Classic events – as well as free entry for children 12 and under! Check out each of the events below and their links to purchase tickets.
Carb Night Classic
Friday, May 28
Featuring four great racing series on one big night, the Road to Indy and the Cooper Tires USF2000 will take to the track first. Indy Pro 2000 will follow while the return of Champion Midgets and USAC Silver Crown Cars will end the night. There will be a $5,000 to-win purse for the Champion Midgets and a $10,000 to win-purse for the USAC Silver Crown.
Thursday Night Thunder Homecoming

A well-known Lucas Oil Raceway event will return with a focus on celebrating the personalities and broadcasts that made the track a staple in living rooms across the country. The event also helped establish names like Gordon, Stewart, Newman, and Kahne into the vocabularies of racing fans everywhere. The special night will include a Champion Midget $5,000 to-win purse and the return of Pavement Sprints with a $5,000 to-win purse.
SRX Independence Showdown
Lucas Oil Raceway is excited to announce an additional Champion Midget Race for 2021 on Saturday, July 3rd with the new Independence Showdown. This event will feature a Top Six Shootout and pay $5K to WIN the 30-Lap Feature. In addition, a future announcement will be made regarding our “Friends” that will be joining us to make it a BIG event next year. Mark your calendars and get your Season Tickets Now!
The weekend will feature three must-see races for open-wheel fans at Lucas Oil Raceway held in conjunction with the Brickyard 400 weekend. Friday night will kick off with Sprint Cars chasing a $10,000 to-win purse followed by Champion Midgets competing for a $10,000 to-win purse and USAC Silver Crown Cars chasing a $12,000 to-win purse on Saturday. Just down the road at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, a new NTT INDYCAR SERIES race will also be held on Saturday before the NASCAR Cup Series takes the road course for the first time over on Sunday.

The 2021 Allgaier Performance Parts Fall Brawl will feature stock car racing’s JEGS/CRA All Star Tour, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks and the Vore’s Compact Series all in one action-packed Saturday in October.
