Lucas Oil Raceway is looking for seasonal help. 

We are looking for energetic people with great customer service skills to work in an energetic and fast-paced environment. 

All candidates must…

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Have great customer service skills
  • Be able to follow directions
  • Be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, endure extreme weather and adhere to the dress code
  • Be willing to help in other positions if need be

Ticketing and Gate Operations

Will be required to sell, scan and stub tickets, check coolers, handle cash, and assist Business and Ticketing Manager in registration and payouts.

Candidates must be good with people, able to work long hours in the outdoor weather, and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Drag Operations

Will be required to prep the track, complete time slips, and work different areas within the drag strip, pit area, or staging lanes.

Candidates must be good with people, able to work in a fast paced environment, comfortable working outdoors for expended periods of time, and have a general knowledge of auto racing. Some additional knowledge required for specific roles.

Oval Operations

Will be required to do inspections on all cars that will be participating in any activity on the oval. This includes checking safety equipment (Driver Suits, Seat Belts, Helmets, Gloves, Shoes and/or Boots) as well as all parts of the race car. May also oversee pit traffic, pit rules enforcement, and other rules.

Candidates must be good with people, able to work in a fast paced environment, comfortable working outdoors for expended periods of time, and have a general knowledge of auto racing. Some additional knowledge required for specific roles.

Firefighter or EMT

Firefighters will be required to fight potential fires, handle racecar extrications and help with Hazmat clean-up.

EMTs will be required to medically aid racers, spectators and staff in addition to inspecting and stocking ambulances and help with race car extrication

*Requirements for both Firefighters and EMTs: Certified and competent knowledge in the fields of Safety Equipment, Extrication and Hazmat.

Not-for-Profit/Non-Profit Opportunities

Lucas Oil Raceway offers a variety of opportunities with 501c3 organizations in exchange for guest service support during major events. Groups will work closely with our Lucas Oil Raceway event staff in a variety of roles, including but not limited to:

  • Parking Operations
  • Gate Checking & Ticket Scanning
  • Grandstand Ushering & Assistance

Frequently Asked Questions for Not-for-Profit/Non-Profit Groups
Is there a minimum or limit on how many group members participate?
No. We typically reach out to your organization with a volunteer amount request and can go from there.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes. We ask that volunteers be no younger than 18, however, volunteers can be as young as 16 with a minor waiver completed by the parent(s) or legal guardian of the volunteer. All groups must have an adult chaperon with any participating minors.

How and when do we receive our donation?
All groups will check-in and check-out with our Ticketing Coordinator and/or Ticketing Manager. Once all hours are calculated after the event, you can expect to receive a check in the mail 3-4 weeks following the event, provided all paperwork has been filled out and provided to Lucas Oil Raceway.


Security Guard and Operations

Lucas Oil Raceway is looking for individuals with excellent customer service and safety skills to assist with overnight security and gate operations. Candidates should have the ability to stand on their feet for long hours while monitoring activity on the grounds and at the gates during large and multi-day events.

While security experience is desirable, it is not required for this role. We also provide internship and externship opportunities with college students looking to complete hours for any classwork. Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and be a high school graduate OR hold a GED.
